“My first encounter with cancer was at 16 when my grandmother was diagnosed… I was one of her caregivers [and] her grace and strength left a lasting impression. Having had too many friends and family attacked by breast cancer, my way of fighting back is to raise awareness and support the American Cancer Society’s goal of raising funds for research and services… I also act as an advocate for screenings and taking control of your health.
